A bit of background..

Originally from outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I moved to Seattle 3 years ago. I have an extremely loving family back east; parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew (and wonderful cousins & aunts/uncles). I have built an amazing family here in Seattle too. I have an incredible and supportive boyfriend and an almost 6 year old boxer, that is a total diva and energetic nut. In my free time, I love to be outdoors as much as possible (camping, climbing, hiking), scuba diving, cooking, brewing and volunteering.

family happy, happy family!

I have been a volunteer Project Manager for Construction for Change (CfC) since early 2017. My first project with CfC was the Hillside Church Paradise Parking Plots in Kent, WA. This first phase was to transform an under-utilized parking lot into a community garden for refugees. The second phase is to convert an existing kitchen into a commercial kitchen, which will act as a teaching kitchen for community members. The second phase of the project is just getting started and is undergoing design coordination and permitting reviews.

My normal-full time job is for Turner Construction in Seattle as a Project Manager in the Special Projects Division. A few of my recent projects include the Madrona Venture Group TI, Saint Mark’s Cathedral Renovation in Capital Hill, Miller Hull’s Living Building Challenge Certified Office Renovation and several tenant improvement projects around Seattle and Bellevue.

Here’s a snippet of a few of my favorite people..

In my next post, I’ll talk a bit more about my upcoming adventures!
